Qualified Rigger/Signal Person

This Qualified Rigger & Signal Person course provides participants with the knowledge needed to safely plan and execute lifting operations using cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment. Topics include rigging hazard recognition, inspection of slings and hardware, load weight estimation, center of gravity calculations, sling tension and angle factor calculations, proper rigging techniques, hand and voice signals, communication with equipment operators, and applicable OSHA and ASME requirements. The course is designed for riggers, signal persons, crane operators, supervisors, and workers responsible for directing, planning, or participating in lifting and material handling operations.
